Little Deep Woodstock, New York

Class assembles in Studio One, Woodstock, New York

Class begins in Studio One at the Woodstock School of Art campus at 8:30. We’ll do a meet and greet and then review materials and process. We will then migrate over to Little Deep, only 5 minutes from the school on Zena Road. At Little Deep, we will paint the beautiful view, which has many inspiring motifs- water reflections, sunlit interiors, foliage, and tree anatomy, etc. We’ll break for lunch at the appropriate time and reassemble in Studio One on the Woodstock School of Art campus.

Students are encouraged to bring panels or canvases that have a light, transparent tone of cool pink( Venetian Red). This can be easily prepared by taking Gamsol or spirits equivalent and brushing a light wash of diluted Venetian Red, and then wiping it off with a paper towel to leave a light transparent tone on the surface, and then letting it dry.
